Published: 26 May 2010
‘Legacy Film Festival’ is a celebration of the achievements, contributions and issues of black minority and ethnic people around the world. Its focus is largely, but not solely on that of the African diasporas as part of Black History Month in October.
This film shorts submission is open to all regardless of race and gender, although films must contain a strong contribution by people of black minority or ethnic decent and/or reflect their lives.
Submissions for this year’s festival (Brighton, East Sussex 22-24 October 2010) are now open and run until 30 June 2010. There are two age categories; ‘18 and under’ and ‘Over 18’ with which you can submit your film and this can include; drama, documentary, comedy, animation or experimental film. The films should be no longer than 30 minutes maximum.
All films will be assessed and those chosen will be screened at an event during the Legacy Film Festival in October 2010. Filmmakers will be notified of their selection no later than the end of September.
Please download the submission form for further details and specifications and email: legacyfilmfestival@yahoo.com with any further queries.
